1. A Warm Blanket - I'm literally getting chills just thinking about curling up with a good book and a nice knit blanket! These are the kind of blankets that you immediately rub on your face - it's that soft! We have a couple of giant blankets at home that lay draped over the couch for those days when it is dreary outside and drafty inside. We all know we are unproductive on those days anyway, so why not curl up on the couch and be comfortable? Our blankets are not as soft as they were when they were first bought or given to us, but they still do the job. My least favorite thing is being cold, and these are a great solution to that problem!
2. A Cup of Hot Cocoa - I don't know which one excites me more on a cold day, a big blanket or making a cup of hot chocolate. It's pretty close! I love a good cup of hot cocoa with whipped cream on top - yummmmm. The best part is when you take that first sip and it warms your entire insides, slowly and all at once. I like to just sit with my hands cupping that warm goodness, letting its warmth absorb into the rest of my body. My husband knows that I am in my happy place when I am curled on the couch, legs hidden under our giant blanket, watching a good show, with a cup of hot chocolate in my hands (and probably wearing my glasses). The introvert in me gets extremely happy in those moments! And great news - tis the season for days like this ( assuming my little one is sleeping at the time)!
