It's Black Friday! While everyone was up at the crack of dawn shopping, I was up at the crack of dawn at home in my pjs. We did not brave traffic and the stores until almost 11 AM, plenty enough time to still catch the sales that ended at noon and avoid (most of) the craziness. Shopping with a stroller on a normal day is hard enough; shopping with a stroller on Black Friday is a whole other game! To avoid some of the hassle and unnecessary baby grabbing, I wore A for as long as she could tolerate. Though I ended up still bringing the stroller along, baby wearing made the day a lot easier!
1. The Infantino Mai Tai Wrap: You can find this wrap at Babies R Us or Target. I love it because it's versatile and easy to use. A lot of the wraps can be confusing when you have so much material dragging the ground and you don't know what part goes where. The Mai Tai is a good combination of a solid carrier and a wrap.

The Mai Tai can accommodate a front carry, back carry and side carry. When A was younger, she preferred the front carry - wearing her on my front, facing me. Now she prefers to look around more, so I use this wrap to carry her on my back so she can see!
2. The Baby Bjorn: This carrier is a little less flexible, but great because it is so easy to use and quick to put on. Often times we take this carrier with us to the grocery store, knowing that if A throws a fit and wants to be carried quick, the Baby Bjorn will work with us. This carrier is only good for a front carry, but does allow you the two options of wearing baby facing you or wearing baby facing out. Of course, A prefers to be worn facing out.

Both wraps have their pros and cons, but regardless of what way you carry baby, there are only benefits to wearing them! It's not only convenient for you to have your hands free and baby close, but it is so good for baby's emotional health to feel safe and secure by being so near. It's not uncommon for A to fall asleep while I'm wearing her - she can be crying one minute, and after popping her into a carrier, she's comfortable and asleep. I can't recommend them enough!
Do you baby wear? If so, what wraps do you use?
